Composed for the Vladimir Lovec-Ivan Scek music competition in the Slovenian town of Koper in 2004 and premiered by the ensemble Sensibile. Crt was inspired by the novel Decameron by Boccaccio, where every person present tells a story. Each solo instrument in this work symbolizes a narrator. Later, the full ensemble is involved in the story of the instrument. Both flautists require doublings; one the alto flute, and the other, piccolo. The playing techniques are standard, however Crt would suggest that the harpist play "tremolo con diti del doppio mani" like a rising "suoni eolici" but with fingers rather than hands.
