This work is a dreamy setting of the text with a flowing accompaniment and lush a cappella segments which utilize a full women's choir vocal range. The Lost Lagoon attempts to dynamically capture the effect of a real lagoon's shifting tide throughout the score. There are a number of key changes which may require a more seasoned women's or treble choir. Premiered in January 2009 by Sister Sound (Lexington, KY) with their director John Roark, Jr., to whom it has been dedicated.
