Rick Bartlett


Rick Bartlett is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University – Nashville, TN.  His choral music has been performed by his Alma Mater’s Men’s, Women’s and Concert Choirs.  Other performances include premieres by Southeastern region high school, college and community choruses.  Other premiere feature performances include The Corning High School Occidentals, the Ithaca High School Choir and Horseheads High School Concert Choir, Ward Melville High School, all in NY - Hixson High School Women's Chorus – Chattanooga, TN, the Four State Honor Choir and Tower Choir of Northwest Missouri State University – Maryville, MO. Canticus – Rochester, NY - Georgia State & University Women’s Concert Choir Le Belle Voci – Dahlonega, GA and the William Baker Chorale.  

He scored music for the film project entitled “Creekwater,” as well as public service announcements, in collaboration with video production majors at the Savannah College of Art and Design.  Rick is currently a four time finalist in the Ithaca College School of Music Choral Composition Competition, co-sponsored by Theodore Presser Publishing.  His work entitled “City of the Heart” for SATB chorus and piano placed second in 2005. “Silence Has Voices” received an additional recognition by placing second in the Northwest Missouri State University Choral Composition Competition in 2004.  His work entitled “Pie Jesu” for mixed chorus and piano received first place in the Northwest Missouri State University 2007 Choral Composition Competition.  

His music has been featured in the summer conferences of the GA chapter of the ACDA workshop entitled “Choral Music by Georgia Composers,” since 2004.  He is a member of ASCAP and has received ASCAP awards since 2005. He is also a member of the American Composers Forum. He is employed by Atlantic Southeast Airlines, but spends much of his spare time composing and arranging specifically in the choral genre with concentration on the poetry of Dr. Robert J.
