composer: Philippe Pilette
Flute, oboe, clarinet, F horn, bassoon
This piece in two parts opens with a cheerful theme presented by the clarinet and then taken by all. A second melody in the minor introduces a more mysterious mood and leads to the work’s second section. This section is characterized by its steady pace and an expressive theme in a minor key as well. An imitative bridge brings back the initial theme, which concludes the piece.
